Official Rules & Regulations
Welcome! We're here to have a good time, eat some delicious wings, and crown Sicamous's top wing-eater. Please read the following rules carefully.
1 How to Enter
- No Entry Fee: This event is free to enter for all participants.
- Selection Process: Hopeful contestants must submit their names for consideration. A panel of judges appointed by Brothers Tavern will select the final entrants.
- Promoter's Picks: The event promoter reserves the right to add two (2) additional entrants of their choosing to the final roster.
2 The Contest
- The Goal: Eat as many chicken wings as possible within the allotted time. The official time limit will be announced before the contest begins.
- The Wings: The chicken wings will be served plain, without any sauce. Water will be provided to all contestants.
- "Clean" Wings: For a wing to count, all meat must be eaten off the bone. "Clean to the bone" is the standard.
- No Drinks (Besides Water): Contestants may only drink the water provided.
- Stay at the Table: Leaving the table during the contest will result in disqualification.
- No "Chipmunking": Wings still in a contestant's mouth when time expires will not be counted.
- If You Puke, You're Out: A "reversal of fortune" results in immediate disqualification.
3 Determining the Winner
- The Count: Judges will count the number of "clean" chicken bones for each contestant.
- The Champion: The contestant with the most wings eaten will be declared the winner.
- Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie, a one-minute "eat-off" will determine the ultimate champion.
4 Conduct & Disclaimers
- All contestants must sign a waiver before participating.
- Brothers Tavern reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for unsportsmanlike conduct or for failing to follow the rules.
- Judges' decisions are final.
- Most importantly: Have fun, be safe, and eat responsibly!
