Official Contest Rules

We’re here to eat wings, have some fun and crown a champion. Read the rules before putting your name in the fight.

How to Enter

  • No entry fee The contest is completely free to enter.
  • Selection process Hopeful contestants must submit their names for consideration. A panel appointed by Brothers Tavern will select the final entrants.
  • Promoter’s picks The event promoter may add up to two additional contestants to the final roster.

The Contest

  • The goal Eat as many chicken wings as possible within the official time limit announced before the contest begins.
  • The wings Wings will be served plain, without sauce. Water will be provided to every contestant.
  • Clean to the bone A wing counts only when all meat has been eaten from the bone.
  • Water only Contestants may drink only the water provided by Brothers Tavern.
  • Stay at the table Leaving the table during the contest results in disqualification.
  • No chipmunking Food still in a contestant’s mouth when time expires will not count.
  • If you puke, you’re out A reversal of fortune results in immediate disqualification.

Choosing the Winner

  • The count Judges will count the clean chicken bones credited to each contestant.
  • The champion The contestant with the highest official wing count will be crowned King of the Wing.
  • Tie-breaker A tie triggers a one-minute eat-off to determine the champion.

Conduct & Fine Print

  • Sign the waiver Every contestant must sign the official waiver before participating.
  • Play fair Brothers Tavern may disqualify anyone for unsportsmanlike conduct or failure to follow the rules.
  • The judges rule All judges’ decisions are final.
  • Use your head Have fun, be safe and eat responsibly.
